While some choose to complain about the city, these kids chose to show why Memphis is awesome and that they are clearly ‘happy’ with the city they live in.
A group of Harding Academy school students thought they would put together this video for their ‘awesome’ city entitled “Happy In Memphis” inspired by the Pharrell song and music video “Happy” from the movie “Despicable Me.”
Much like the article recently published ‘Reasons To Be Proud of Memphis,’ the students show reasons to be ‘Happy in Memphis’ with their various scenes of the city.
Some of the scenes were shot on location in Memphis at: The Pyramid (soon to be Bass Pro), Beale Street Landing, Binghampton Park, Autozone Park, Trolley tracks by the river, Levitt Shell, Sun Studio, “I love Memphis” mural in Cooper Young, Tiger Lane at Liberty Bowl Stadium, Brooks Museum of Art, Shelby Farms – Woodland Discovery Playground, Peabody rooftop and of course their school Harding Academy (East Memphis and Cordova locations).
Check out the video of the kids of Harding Academy school students showing their happiness.
Happy in Memphis
We were inspired by Pharrell’s “Happy” video and wanted to make a video about being Happy in Memphis. Some people choose to complain about Memphis, but we think Memphis is pretty awesome.
Harding Academy! GOOD JOB! #HappyInMemphis shows a Different outlook for our city!
