Yo Gotti has signed on a new artist – rapper Wave Chapelle to his label Cocaine Muzik Group (CMG). Wave Chapelle, a young rapper out of Milwaukee, was welcomed onto the CMG label on last month.
The 20 year-old rapper, who attends LeMoyne-Owen College, was in Memphis, TN at an official get-together celebrating the rapper’s induction to the CMG family.
Wave Chapelle told Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Yo Gotti started following him although he had never came across Gotti and he received a direct message from the CMG founder, which included Gotti’s telephone number.
Gotti reportedly heard people talking about Wave’s music, took a listen to it and obviously liked what he heard enough to bring the young rapper on to the CMG roster, which is distributed through Epic Records following a deal made with L.A. Reid.
Wave Chapelle is now looking to make a name for himself in the hip hop game with his new deal with CMG while Yo Gotti is prepping a new CMG mixtape to start things off.
