Pregnancy symptoms are different for each woman. Some women experience signs within the week of conception, while others may not notice symptoms for weeks, months, or not at all.

While the classic signs of pregnancy include morning sickness and missed periods, recent information from the American Pregnancy Association notes some of the lesser observed signs.

The following signs are exhibited days to weeks after conception.

IMPLANTATION BLEEDING: Usually occurs within 6-12 days after conception and can cause spotting or cramping. Some women will mistake this for just an abnormal or unscheduled period.

MISSED OR DELAYED PERIOD: Most women will experience a missed period after conception. If bleeding still occurs, it may be much lighter than normal and last a lesser amount of time.

TENDER BREASTS: Swollen or tender breasts can begin within 2 weeks of conception and may be sore or sensitive to the touch.
UNUSUAL FATIGUE: This can start in as early as one week. Extreme tiredness including an occasional doze-off is normal, but should be observed carefully.
