War protestors that gathered in Downtown Memphis Saturday afternoon to rally for peace, also, paid a special tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King.

War protestors that gathered in Downtown Memphis Saturday afternoon to rally for peace, also, paid a special tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King.

According to WMC-TV, the protestors said they believed many Americans don’t support the war and they also said the war is ruining lives here at home and in Iraq.

“I’ve been very concerned with how its progressed and I don’t agree with it and I think its time to end it and I don’t want to see any of my friends sent over there,” said protestor Molly Peacher-Ryan to WMC-TV.

The protest reportedly highlighted the cost of the war in Iraq and the number of troops still serving overseas.
