VH1 is setting in to search for the next white rapper in their new reality game show Ego Trip’s “The White Rapper Show”. The reality show will go hands down in a run-down tenement in the South Bronxs called the “Tha White House”, and will be hosted by Michael “MC Serch” Berrin (of the Hip-Hop group 3rd Bass) and producer Prince Paul. The show was produced with Ken Mok and his 10×10 production team (the folks behind the superhit America’s Next Top Model).

There will be 10 contestants from all over America put through challenges that will test their musical “credibility,” knowledge of hip-hop culture, and their ideas about progeny according to VH1’s press. Competitors will be tested by performing on the streets, at serveral venues and more. The show will even be bringing in hip hop veterans such as Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow, and Fat Joe to school and critique the competitors. The winning rapper will receive $100,000 and will gain new fans. The Eight Episode Series is stated to Premiere Monday, January 8 at 10:30pm on VH1.
