The all new Unsigned Only Music Competition, from the same people who brought you the International Songwriting Competition, has come to its’ last day for the deadline to enter on Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
Designed for rappers, solo artists, bands, and singer, entering the Unsigned Only Competition offers entrants a chance at not only $5,000 and other great prizes, but the Grand Prize winner will also receive one-on-one mentoring from high-profile music industry executives from some of the world’s top record labels including Universal Republic, RCA, Capitol, Atlantic, Grand Hustle Records, and many more.
A full list of mentors are: Monte Lipman (President of Universal Republic); Pete Ganbarg (Executive VP/Head of A&R, Atlantic Records); Jason Geter (President, Grand Hustle Records); David Wolter (Senior VP of A&R, RCA Records); Josh Bailey (Sr. VP of A&R, Word Label Group); Kim Stephens (President, Forward Entertainment and A&R/Capitol Music Group); Trevor Jerideau (VP of A&R, RCA Records); David Wilkes (VP of A&R, eOne Music); Pete Giberga (Head of A&R, Razor & Tie Records); and Jason McArthur (VP A&R, Provident Label Group).
The competition has a judging panel of high profile Industry recording artists such as Musiq Soulchild, Cyndi Lauper, 3 Doors Down, Kelly Clarkson, and media publishers like Josh Jackson (Co-Founder and Editor-In-Chief, Paste Magazine); and Scott Lapatine (Founder/Editor-In-Chief, Stereogum).
All entries must be original music except for the Vocal Performance category which accepts original or cover songs.
