T.I. Out On $3Mil Bond With Strict House Arrest Rules


Rapper T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, was released from jail on Friday on $3 million bond after being held for federal gun charges.

Rapper T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, was released from jail on Friday on $3 million bond after being held for federal gun charges. His Atlanta home was put up for $1 million dollars and the other $2 million came from Atlantic Records in the form of cashier’s checks.

A judge stipulated that Harris be under house arrest and monitored 24 hours until his trial. Harris is currently prohibited from owning a firearm, drinking alcohol, or having visitors in his home that are not previously approved by authorities. His girlfriend and children are the only people allowed to live with him in the home.

To further limit Harris’ communication with outside sources, any visitors to his home have to go through a background check and are restricted to three at a time between 7 am and 8 pm.

Harris will be monitored by GPS and be supervised by Judicial Corrections Services, Inc., a service which T.I. is mandated to have at his own expense.

Harris was arrested on Oct. 13 for trying to illegally purchase machine guns and silencers. Authorities apprehended him in a parking lot and found three firearms in his automobile. If convicted, Clifford
