T.I. will be in the film, American Gangster, which will also star acting king, Denzel Washington, and Russell Crowe.

After ATL hit theaters across the country people began to talk. They asked themselves is this southern rapper serious about this acting thing or will it be a one-time event. Well T.I. born Clifford Harris is a real southern boy at heart but with the imagination of a New Yorker. Since a young age, T. I. has seen the golden life that he wanted to have for himself and has worked hard to reach it. Music has proven to be his springboard into a number of other things; one of those things is the big screen.

Well America it was not just a fluke, T.I. is serious about his acting career after staring in the movie ATL he is at it again. This time he has stepped his game up to the big leagues. T.I. will be in the film, American Gangster, which will also star acting king, Denzel Washington, and Russell Crowe.

It may be that T.I. has bitten off more than he can handle but in time, we will see. The film is a story about a 1970’s drug lord who smuggles heroin into Harlem inside of Vietnam soldier’s coffins. Sounds like a true story already, in the 1970’s the heroin push was hitting major cities across the country. The east coast was its home and this story seems to hit the heart of it. T.I. will play Denzel’s nephew while Russell Crowe will play a detective. Also in the film will be Wu-Tang’s lead man, RZA.

T.I. has seen his hard work began to pay off; rappers have not always received the opportunities that they are receiving today. It has become more and more common to see rappers in films, on television shows and in positions that they would not have had ten years ago. It is really a blessing for the world of hip-hop to have entrepreneurial mind individuals like T.I., who can show the world that this rap thing is real and the members are more than what the seem.
