Three Suspects Arrested Now in Shooting of One of Beale Street Flippers

Memphis Police have arrested now three people in connection with the shooting of one of the members of the Beale Street Flippers, thanks to Downtown Memphis surveillance video.

In custody now are Markeith Miller, Tiffany Lewis and Joseph Lawrence, all charged in the shooting of Beale Street Flipper Tajuan Jones.

Jones, who performs with the acrobatic group Beale Street Flippers, was believed to have been a victim of a revenge shooting.

According to police and witness reportings, Miller was involved in a fight and was told by Lawrence that Jones was one of the men involved and that’s when Miller allegedly shot Jones in the leg. Lewis is believed to have been the driver in the incident.

Meanwhile, Miller’s family is claiming he did it all in self defense.

The suspects are due in court Wednesday.
