Westcoast rapper, The Game, is preparing to drop his third album “L.A.X. (Los Angeles Times)” come July 22 on Geffen Records. The rapper’s first single “Game’s Pain” featuring R&B singer Keyshia Cole has already been creeping it’s way up the charts, while the video reached #1 on BET’s 106 & Park.

The album whose title was originally “The D.O.C.”, but was later changed to “L.A.X.” includes features with Lil’ Wayne on “My Life,” Common and Kanye West on “Angel,” Ne-Yo on “Camera Phone” and “A Thug and a Gentleman,” Ludacris “Ya Heard,” Ice Cube “State of Emergency,” Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker for the street single “Dope Boys,” Chrissette Michelle “Let Us Live,” Busta Rhymes on “Put Ya Hands Up,” amongst others.

Music producers on the album include Irv Gotti, Cool & Dre, J.R. Rotem, Kanye West, Scott Storch, Just Blaze, DJ Toomp and others.

In other news, The Game reportedly may be releasing a fourth album titled “D.O.C. (Diary of Compton)” only if he can enlist the help of Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Ice Cube, MC Ren, DJ Yella, and King Tee. If it doesn’t fall through, the rapper may opt for his previous statement made on BET’s 106 & Park in which he stated that L.A.X. may be his last studio album and he will move on to promote his record label, Black Wall Street, and start producing music.
