Tennessee Teen Girl, 14, Killed While Tanning In Backyard By Falling Lumber

A 14 year-old teen, Jordan Alexis Dwomick, was killed by falling lumber. She was in her backyard sunbathing when 4 2-by-10 foot boards fell on her.

It was stated by the coroner who examined her body, Ed Herndon, that she died of a broken neck.

She was found by her parents later that day and her funeral is scheduled for Thursday evening in her school auditorium. She was a student at Union County High School, and will be forever missed by her friends, family, and loved ones.

It’s not understood how the boards toppled over after many years of being stacked up in the very same place.
