A Tennessee nun has been sentenced to nearly 3 years in jail for apparently breaking into a nuclear weapons plant.
A reported anti-nuclear peace activist and Roman Catholic nun reportedly broke in to the facility with two other peace activists who received a reported five years in jail.
Megan Gillespie Rice was a nun at the Society of The Holy Child Jesus.
Rice reportedly asked the judge to give her life in prison, but her request was not met.
All three have been sentenced with Rice receiving 35 months in prison, while her accomplices Michael R Walli, 63 and Gregory Boertje-Obed, 57, have both been sentenced to 62 months for breaking into the Y-12 National Complex in Oakridge, TN.
The peace activist are were charged for spray painting anti-war slogans while splashing blood on the outside of the alleged heavily guarded facility.
