Taylor Death Leaves Grief; NFL To Honor Redskins’ Player

Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor died early Tuesday morning due to a gunshot wound involving an alleged burglary; the NFL vow to give a moment of silence around the NFL on Sunday.

Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor died early Tuesday morning due to a gunshot wound. Taylor was 24 years old. Investigators say that Taylor was shot in the leg in his Miami home by a burglar.

At present, the police are saying the incident looks like a random event, and that no evidence thus far points to the victim as having any ill involvement.

Taylor ‘s girlfriend and young daughter were in the house at the time of the shooting. The gunman is still on the run. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 11 am at Pharmed Arena at Florida International University in Miami.

A moment of silence will take place around the NFL on Sunday in honor of Taylor.
