Soulja Boy Performs at YouTube Live, MC Hammer Has ‘Still Got It’

Many of you may or may not have seen the internet advertising of “YouTube Goes Live” either on the YouTube website or where ever on the net there were Google Adsense ads showing. Well if you didn’t click or check out what all the fuss was about, then you might have missed a live concert!

YouTube had its first live event broadcast which included a concert with live performances by Katy Perry performing her YouTube smash song “Hot and Cold, YouTube star and “Crank Dat” hip-hop artist Soulja Boy performing his YouTube smash song “Bird Walk,” and Grammy-award winning musician will.i.am of the Black-Eyed Peas performing his YouTube smash song “It’s A New Day” which was in tribute to Democratic candidate Barack Obama. All of the performed songs and artists were fits for the event because they all had thousands upon hundreds of thousands of viewers to their current YouTube video releases like Kate Perry whose single “Hot and Cold” under label Capitol Music has had over 5,000,000 views, will.i.am’s “It’s A New Day” with over 500,000 and Soulja Boy who has over 1,000,000 for his “Bird Walk” song. Though Kate Perry has the most views of those mentioned songs, Soulja Boy has had the most views of all with a whooping 40,000,000 views alone for his most well-known song “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” and another almost 40,000,00 views to the ‘How-To’ dance version of the song. will.i.am’s previous tribute song to Barack Obama enitled “Yes We Can” has had over 14,000,000 views and Kate Perry’s previous release “I Kissed a Girl” brought in 12,000,000 views.

The YouTube event/concert was filmed before a live audience at the Fort Mason Center near San Francisco’s famed Fisherman’s Wharf.

In this following video clip, MC Hammer introduces Soulja Boy for his YouTube live performance of “Bird Walk” and MC Hammer who’s best known for his infamous dance moves of 1990’s, showed he’s still ‘got it’ before introducing rapper Soulja Boy.
