According to reports Sony BMG is planning to shut down it’s Sony Urban Music division which will prompt layoffs before the holiday season kicks into gear. Many of the employees will be reassigned to other labels starting on December 1st according to New York Post, while others will be laid off. Reports state that departments such as business affairs and legal will be affected the most by the layoffs.
