Rapper Kanye West recently ended his partnership with Nike over irreconcilable differences based around royalties and creativity and has since signed on with the sneaker line Adidas.
Meanwhile, while Kanye left Nike, Drake, as reported on MemphisRap.com, has been announced as the new partner prepping to release his own line of OVO Nike Air Jordan.
Drake recently released pictures of some OVO Air Jordan samples via Instagram:
The OVO Air Jordans in the picture above feature the OVO symbol along with the Michael Jordon emblem on them.
Hip-Hop artists have long placed themselves with brands to further push their trends with successful stories such as 50 Cent and Vitamin Water and Diddy and Ciroc, just to name a couple.
As a matter of fact, sneaker brands aligning themselves with hip-hop dates back as far as thirty years ago such as with Adidas and their deal with Run DMC.
