R&B singer The Weeknd Arrested For Punching a Police Officer in Vegas Fight

R&B star The Weeknd was arrested over the weekend after allegedly punching a police officer during a Saturday night brawl in Las Vegas.

Apparently, police were called to Cromwell Hotel in the early hours of Saturday around 4 in the morning due to a fight.

When police arrived, the fight, which allegedly involved The Weeknd, was apparently still going on.

Reportedly, a police officer, who was attempting to break up the fight, pulled The Weeknd to the side into an elevator and that’s allegedly when Weeknd punched the cop.

The singer allegedly punched the cop in the head as the fight was still going on and was charged immediately with battery of a protected person and taken into custody.

The Weeknd was shortly after bailed out and posted a picture of himself with the caption “escaped from Las Vegas” that shows the singer getting ready to board a private jet.
