The Baltimore Ravens have terminated running back Ray Rice’s contract after video emerged of him punching his wife (then fiancee), Janay Palmer, in a domestic dispute in a hotel elevator.
When this incident occurred back in February of 2014 in an elevator at Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, Ray Rice was placed on a two-day suspension by the NFL.
This was before the NFL seen the new video footage which emerged on today.
In the shocking video, Rice is seen confronted by Janay Palmer in the elevator as he strikes her and she strikes back.
Then, Rice is seen delivering a blow towards Janay Palmer which resulted in her hitting her head and knocking herself unconscious.
Rice is then seen dragging an unconscious Palmer out of the elevator into the hotel’s hallway.
At this time, there is no guarantee that Rice will ever get a chance to play in the NFL again as the running back star has apparently been suspended indefinitely from the NFL due to the video footage.
Ray Rice reportedly had three years remaining on his contract and $4 million dollars owed to him this season.
