Recently, MemphisRap.com caught up with Memphis rap recording artist Dirty White. Though not new to the scene, Dirty White’s new presence has begun to increase here lately first with his association with Prophet Posse for the last year which has ended suddenly according to the rapper.

When asked about his association with Prophet Posse and why did it end, the rapper told MemphisRap.com in a phone conversation, “It’s just a time when you got to ask yourself, is this for me. I mean business is business and it wasn’t the best situation with them for me.” When asked was there any bad between the rapper and Prophet Posse now, White stated, “No, Prophet Posse is cool and I wish Nick Scarfo and them the best.” As to whether or not you’ll ever see or hear Dirty White on any of the Prophet Posse releases, the answer is maybe yes or maybe no.

“I was in the studio a few times for the [Prophet Posse] Belly of Beast album, on spot at a few radio interviews in Tennessee, but I guess it was scrapped,” White continued.

White is now affiliated with a new camp over at 20 Strong stated the rapper along with RJ Groove, President of A&R at Glamourocke Records/Universal Music Group. “When I decided to leave Prophet the day after that, I was in Yo Gotti’s studio and had just cut two new songs when RJ contacted me after hearing my music on the Internet.”

Dirty White is expecting to drop a new mixtape entitled “White Boy Trap Music Vol. 1: Memphis’ Finest” sometime in January/February of ’08. According to White the album will feature Lord Infamous, Memphis’ own Miscellenous and Yung Kee.

“I decided not to do too many features, especially after Pimp C’s momma who was his manager told me, ‘don’t waste your money baby on so many features.’ As far as my album, I just got through doing something with Saliva and plan on doing something with Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Yo Gotti, Al Kapone, Calico Jonez and Free of Free Sol,” White told MemphisRap.com.

The new White album will be entitled “White Noize” and features production from Leo (Yo Gotti’s House of Hits), 32 Platiunm Productions (SoSo Def), Al Hayes (House of Hayes), Saliva, and some production from Dirty White. “The plan is to drop White’s mixtape and build onto the Dirty White fanbase which Dirty White already has a good fanbase,” stated RJ Groove president of Glamourocke Records/Universal Music Group and also CEO/Founder of 20 Strong Productions. “We had a single, but we’re changing it now, since Dirty White has so much more hot stuff now, and we’re giving him a lot of the creative control,” RJ Groove added.

Dirty White’s new album “White Noize”, has plans to be dropped on BCD Music Group through 20 Strong Productions.

According to RJ Groove, we can also be looking out for a new TV show coming called “Artist Management” which is expected to begin filming in February of ’08 in which Dirty White will make a cameo in.
