Project Pat, Lil Wyte, Yo Gotti, Def Jam, BET To Host PPR 101 in Memphis

In Memphis, TN, this January 31st, Project Pat, Frayser Boy, Lil Wyte, Yo Gotti, La Chat, Crunchy Black, on air radio hosts Boogaloo (107.1) and Lil Larry (K97FM) will all be among the hip hop pioneers to serve on panel for PPR 101 (Professional Public Relations 101 Conference), along with the new senior VP of A&R (DefJam), Max Gousse and casting director of BET’s 106 & Park Wild Out Wednesday segment, PC.

PPR 101 is a multi-city tour that seeks to educate, enlighten and empower tomorrow’s urban trendsetters on increasing exposure via newspapers, magazines, websites and video shows.

Memphis, Tennessee is the tour’s fourth stop following New Orleans, Atlanta and Dallas with plans in action for Charlotte, St. Louis and Houston to follow.

At the PPR 101 to be held in Memphis, Allhiphop.com’s Tai St. Louis, Celebrity Publicists ChiQ Simms, Kia Jarmon and Linda Robbins, Source Magazine & Rolling Out Magazine’s Carlton Wade, The Music Specialist Allen Johnston, Memphis music scene dominators Yo Gotti, Project Pat, La Chat, Frayser Boy, Lil Wyte, SEA Awards producer Janiro Hawkins, Wes Phillips of Select O Hits and WordontheStreet.com’s Isis Wisdom Divine will be among the panelists offering advice while taking note of the attending talent pool. Panel discussions, power networking and one on one sessions will be offered. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the pre-mentioned entertainment journalists, editors, critics, publicists, marketers and Industry personalities.

As well as, the casting director from BET’s Wild Out Wednesday will also serve on the panel and pick from the PPR 101 showcase contestants to feature on the highly successful video show, 106 & Park.

Some of the confirmed independent artists showcasing are Skrilla & A-Game/Don Music Group from Atlanta, Lil Chill/UAN Entertainment from Dallas, Texas, The Future from New Orleans, Chino of St. Louis MO, Memphis native, Tha Bank and a host of other independents from Memphis, Nashville, Jackson MS and Arkansas. This event will be taped for the upcoming Def Jam reality show, which the newly named Senior VP of A& R Max Gousse will be onsite scouting for the next generation of Def Jam superstars.

In Memphis, event organizers will also debut the first PPR 101 Compilation CD. An cooperative endeavor with DJ KSB, Volume one of the compilation will feature some of the best talent who have performed and/or participated in a previously held PPR 101 seminar/showcase.
