President Bush challenges critics to plan better Iraq strategy

Well, the President on Saturday challenged lawmakers that are skeptical of his new Iraq plan to propose their own strategy for stopping the violence in Iraq and to help secure the population, especially in Baghdad.

On Friday night and Saturday during a social gathering of Republican leaders at Camp David, the President seemed to have gotten a little bit upset with the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Defence Secretary Robert Gates and General Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. TBush’s Iraq plan was questioned and ridiculed by lawmakers.

Some stated that after four years nothing has changed, and there still seems to be even more violence in Iraq and the people of Iraq are angrier than ever.

So some ask, should Bush be given a chance to show that he can divise a better plan and show results?

What if we just say no, and say send the troops back home? It’s stated if we go this route and the troops are allowed to return then the end result would be a high mortality rate and Iraq would be taken over by terror groups.

In other news Democratic leaders in the House and Senate intend to hold votes within a few weeks on Bush’s revised Iraq policy.
