Special Ed teacher, Kelly McKenzy Watson, 35, of San Diego, CA who was investigated for having a sexual relationship in 2012 with a former student is now pregnant. The report of Watson being pregnant was revealed on Wednesday while she was being ordered to jail.
According to reports, Watson was a special education teacher for the New Haven Youth & Family Services in Vista, which is a facility for boys with emotional and behavioral problems, where she met the 17 year-old before she transferring to Oceanside High School.
The two allegedly formed a relationship after the young teenager had a falling out with his parents and she allowed him to stay with her temporarily. However, temporarily changed into a budding relationship, and months later, police showed up to her home due to a disturbance call.
The police allegedly saw on a bathroom mirror, “I want to have a baby with you” which grew their suspicion. The rest, let’s just say is history.
During her appearance in court, Kelly McKenzy Watson told the judge that the pregnancy was unplanned and it is a miracle, to her, because she first tried to conceive with her husband for years prior to their separation.
Kelly McKenzy Watson was ordered three years of probation, jail time until the due date of April, and will not be listed as a sex offender.
In addition, Watson will no longer be able to work with minors and cannot be in contact with the teen boy, but he will be allowed to be at the birth of their child.
