Pimp C Laid To Rest

The funeral for Chad “Pimp C” Butler was held on Thursday in Port Author, TX.

At 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, hundreds of fans lined up to ensure admittance to Pimp C’s funeral. The funeral was held at the Robert A. “Bob” Bowers Civic Center. Bun B personally escorted “Lil Chad,” Pimp C’s son into the funeral. A host rappers were in attendance including Three 6 Mafia, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug and Boss Hog Outlawz, Mike Jones, David Banner, Rap-A-Lot Records’ CEO J. Prince, LeToya Luckett, 8Ball and MJG, Willie D, Big Gipp and Khujo, Lil Webbie and Steve Francis.

Throughout the funeral, UGK tunes played. DJ Paul told MTV News, “For some, the beginning of the funeral was very somber” as DJ Paul sunk down in his seat in sorrow. Paul went on to say, “Some women were crying before they even made it into the building.”

The pastor of the funeral started off his sermon by saying “It’s Hard out here for Pimp.”

Pimp C’s mother spoke at the funeral showing a lot of strength and let everyone know to look out for his kids.
