Oprah Brings Pharrell Williams To Tears; Cries After Seeing ‘Happy’ Worldwide Effect

Pharrell Williams cried “Happy” tears of joy in a heart-to-heart interview with Oprah Winfrey after she showed the prolific producer video clips of the worldwide response of his “Happy” music project.

In the emotional in-depth interview on Oprah’s “Prime” show, Pharrell sits down to talk about the music song which he wrote for the “Despicable Me 2” movie soundtrack.

The video for soundtrack song “Happy,” when released, almost instantly, took on a life of its own which Oprah shows Pharrell just how much joy and cheer he brought to the world.

When the music video was released on November 21st, the world instantly felt cheerful after watching the ‘interactive’ video which allowed fans all over to include clips of themselves dancing and singing along to the ‘Happy’ beat.

Bringing himself to tears, Pharrell says the response was simply overwhelming but it is what he loves to do.
