Operation Madea: Man Robs Mississippi Bank Dressed Like Tyler Perry’s Madea

Madea has went to jail! One man thought it would be clever to dress similar to the elderly character Mabel “Madea” Simmons played by Tyler Perry from his hit plays and movies in an effort to rob a bank.

Marvin Webb, 45 of Girard, Kansas is accused of robbing the First Security Bank in Robinsonville, MS on November 23, 2012, one day following Thanksgiving as he sported a scarf, leather jacket and carried a handbag.

Following the release of surveillance photos by  Tunica County Sheriff’s Department who dubbed the investigation “Operation Madea,”  tips came in to Crime Stoppers which helped gain leads on the suspect.

The suspect, Marvin Web, was arrested on Monday, November 26, 2012 during a traffic stop in his home state of Kansas.

Webb who is also believed to be connected to a Mahan Grocery store robbery on October 30th will be extradited to Tunica County to face robbery charges.

From the look of  Webb’s mugshot, he must have been shocked.
