There is no more need for the ‘FREE Lil Boosie’ campaign, as promoted by many fans and supporters of the southern rapper, as one of the South’s most favorite rappers was finally released from prison on last week.
Rapper Lil Boosie was released from Louisiana State Penitentiary where the rapper was jailed on a marijuana charge since 2009.
The 31 year-old Lil Boosie, real name Torrence Hatch, still has until 2018 to be on his best behavior while on parole.
Meanwhile in jail, the Louisiana rapper said he wrote more than 1,000 songs during his prison time, saying he was still ‘focused’ on his music.
On the way home from his prison release, the rapper was seen in a video freestyling.
Many fans are expecting new music from the rapper since reports of his 1,000 songs and freestyle video evidently show he is definitely not done with his music career.
Since his release, Boosie has been seen in a photo filming for a music video, in another picture with rapper Big K.R.I.T. and is reportedly set to perform in a post-prison tour, which includes a stop at Lakefront Arena ‘Easter Jam,’ which also features rappers Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, Meek Mill and others.
