Chronic fans across the globe waiting to kick the habit will have to wait a while longer as the legendary hiphop surgeon Dr. Dre pushed the release of long-awaited album, Detox back yet again.

For at least the last 8 years, grateful Dre followers have been patiently waiting for what Dr. Dre himself says will be his last album. “I think it’s time to move on,” Dre stated in a recent interview with the LA Times.

Of course it took some mega movie bucks to move hip-hop’s billionaire boy from behind the boards? Even with his newly inked deal with New Line Cinema, Dre will make a smooth transition by scoring most of the films as he did for F. Gary Gray’s Set It Off before transitioning into directing.

Sure that’s all well and good for Hollywood but what about Hollyhood? Fans can look forward to Dre’s vocal appearance on Eminem’s forthcoming, still untitled album later this year.

As for creasing your Dickies to Detox, Dr. Dre insists that he only has about two or three songs to go before fans can get the THC out of their system. “I was really hoping to have (Detox) out this year, but it’s going to have to be pushed back a while because of some other things I’ve got to work on,” said Dre.
