Rumors are that the new Apple iPhone 5S is set for a September release date, according to multiple reports. The new iPhone 5S is reportedly set to release along with a new and cheaper lite version of iPhone possibly called the iPhone Lite now being named iPhone 5C.

Sources say the new iPhone 5S release date comes from credible reports that say it will be released September 6, just a little over a month away.

The speculations of the cheaper version of iPhone is built around a leaked photo of the plastic rear-cased thinner version of iPhone that surfaced online.

A video also has surfaced showing a sneak peek of the thinner, cheaper iPhone version in question.

This is an early look at what appears to be the casing of the lower cost Apple iPhone (now known as the iPhone 5C), presumably intended to slot below the iPhone 5 and 5S and replace the 4/4S. The iPhone 5C and the 5S are expected to debut around September 2013.

Meanwhile, rumors claim Apple itself will soon make an announcement both the iPhone 5S and iPhone Lite or iPhone 5C at an upcoming event by September.
