The body of a muslim woman and mother of five from Iraq, named Shaima Alawadi, 32, who was found brutally beaten to death next to a note saying “go back to your country,” will reportedly be flown to Baghdad for a thorough investigation by lawmakers in her native country.

Shaima Alawadi was found unconscious and badly beaten by her 17-year-old daughter, Fatima Al Himidi, on Wednesday at their house in El Cajon, California.

Alawadi’s daughter, who found her mother in the family’s dining room, says Shaima had been beaten on the head repeatedly with a tire iron when she found her next to a note saying “go back to your country, you terrorist.”

Apparently, the 17 year old was sleeping upstairs when the brutal crime happened and by the time she went downstairs the sliding glass door was broken and the assailant was gone.

The Alawadi family had recieved a similar threatening note before inside their house, but brushed it off as child’s play and didn’t report it to the authorities.

Shaima Alawadi was transported to a local trauma center and was on life support for three days before dying on Saturday.

According to a family friend, Alawadi moved to the United States of America in 1993 with her family. Shaima Alawadi was reportedly part of a group of Shiite Muslim refugees fleeing to Michigan from Saddam Hussein’s era in 1991.

After living a few years in Dearborn, MI, Alawadi moved to the San Diego, California area in 1996, graduated from high school then became a housewife of five children.

Friends of Shaima Alawadi remember her as warm, loving woman and a wonderful mother.
