MPD Seek Gunmen in 3 Weekend Shootings in North and South Memphis


Memphis police are looking for two suspects in an investigation of 3 separate shootings that all happened this weekend in North and South Memphis, Tennessee.

The first shooting was around 1:30 Saturday morning (May 24) in the 1300 block of South Bellevue in South Memphis. One male victim, 32, is in critical condition at the hospital for a gunshot wound. Police have no details.

Another man, 23, around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning (May 25) was shot in the leg in the 1300 block of Clementine in South Memphis. The victim, who was apparently shot after a fight between a group of men, was taken to the Regional Medical Center in non-critical condition. Police say the gunman, who the victim knows, is still on the run.

The same Sunday morning around 6:00 a.m. in the 800 block of North Bellevue in North Memphis, another victim, 35, was shot several times in the legs and groin area while inside a van. Police have not released details of this shooting either, but have stated that the victim will recover, according to My Eyewitness reporter Kim Chaney. The victim was transported to The Med in critical condition according to Alex McPeak with the Commercial Appeal.
