Movie Ride Along, a buddy cop comedy starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, took home the number one spot for the movie that premiered over Martin Luther King, Jr holiday weekend.
“Ride Along,” which was produced by rapper/actor and movie producer Ice Cube as well as other producers, pulled in $48 million dollars at the Box Office during its weekend debut.
The movie along with Ice Cube and Kevin Hart also features an appearance by pre-teen Memphis rapper Lil P-Nut and Mississippi rapper and music producer David Banner.
Lil P-Nut, along with Kevin Hart, whom Hart says that Ride Along is the best thing he has done in his career, actually were pitted against each other and other top gamers in Call of Duty as well as NBA2K14 at the Ride Along Xperience event earlier this month in Beverly Hills.
The Ride Along movie had a budget of $25 million, received an “A” approval rating with CinemaScore audiences and broke a record for the top grossing opening movie on MLK weekend.
