The celebrity model and star Anna Nicole Smith, 39, was pronounced dead and was taken to a Florida hospital after she was found unconscious in her hotel room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Nicole Smith was currently involved in a paternity suit with photographer Larry Birkhead over her daughter Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern. Anna Nicole’s daughter was named after her son Daniel Wayne Smith, 20, who died supsciously in the Bahamas after she gave birth to her daughter on September 9, 2006. Shortly after her son died, Anna Nicole held a commitment ceremony with her Attorney Howard K. Stern on September 28, 2006 who she stated is her daughter’s father. Birkhead filed a suit October, 2006 to get a paternity test, but the star never showed up for the suspected scheduled paternity test. Her longtime personal lawyer, Howard K. Stern, stated that he is the baby’s father.
Anna Nicole Smith was also included in a class-action lawsuit that was placed against TrimSpa a weight loss product where she worked as a spokesperson. The suit claims that the product was marketed as false and misleading.
According to Pathologist Cyril Wecht a lethal dose of methadone and antidepressants caused cardiac dysrhythmia, lead to death of Daniel Wayne Smith. Howard K. Stern was also noted as being in the room at the time of his death.
