Just like we gave you a short list of “Memphis Rap Artists You Should Know,” we’re now doing a “Memphis Rap Producers You Should Know.”

You should already be familiar with these Memphis rap producers such as DJ Squeeky, Al Kapone, Gangsta Pat, Drumma Boy,Carlos “Six July” Broady, Teddy Walton, IMAKEMADBEATS, Nil Jones, Tay Keith, and HitKidd.

There are several legendary/notable Memphis rap producers, including Kurt “KC” Clayton, DJ Paul, Tommy Wright III, DJ Zirk, Kingpin Skinny Pimp, DJ Sound, DJ Pinky, Mr Sche (Big Sche Eastwood), Blackout, J.P. on Tha Track, Memphis Trackboy, Scan Man of KamiKaze Inc., Cazearei “Chaz” Pugh, and many more who aren’t on the list. Just know that everyone has been and is still listening and watching.

Even though we might not include an overview of each producer on this list, we’ll try to explain why you should know about them with a track, if possible.

This list is just one of many that the late Hosea “M Town” Mays, Jr., who founded MemphisRap.com, had in mind and that we have compiled.
