Memphis Police Officer Arrested, Charged For Incest, Rape Of Teen Relative

Yes, Memphis Police officers are supposed to protect the innocent and uphold the law, but one officer may have not only failed at this job, he has been charged for alleged incest and rape of a teen relative.

MPD officer Cornelius P. Monger was arrested on Rape, Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure and Incest after it was found out that Monger was allegedly having inappropriate sexual contact with a young family member.

The victim along with witnesses, allegedly told Shelby County Sheriff’s Office that the sexual abuse began when she was 16 years old, reports WREG.

Monger, who was assigned to Old Allen Station, was arrested and has since been relieved of duty pending the outcome of this investigation.

Monger’s bail after his charges — $100,000.
