Memphis Pastor In Child Pornography Case Gets Sentenced To 85-Months

Pastor Demarcus Smith

The Memphis Pastor who was arrested after allegedly sending explicit pictures of himself to an underage boy has been sentenced to 85 months in prison.

Memphis Pastor DeMarcus Smith of Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church in South Memphis was charged with child pornography after it was discovered that he used Facebook messenger to send explicit photos during an explicit conversation with a male under the age of 18.

The exchange between the Pastor and young man reportedly happened between August 2014 and May 2015.

The 10-month investigation of the case that many called “sickening” was still not enough for some church members who reportedly stood by their
Pastor claiming they had “faith” in him still.

Despite that, prosecutors got a guilty plea out of Smith which was for one count of receipt of child pornography.

Smith was also charged with one count of coercion and solicitation of a minor as well as one count of production of pornography.
