Memphis Pastor Indicted For Child Pornography, Made Young Boy Engage In Explicit Photos

Church service at Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church in South Memphis, TN probably will never be the same again, after investigators say their pastor Demarcus Smith, 32, coerced an underage boy to send him sexually explicit pictures of himself.

The Memphis pastor, who is also a member of the Baptist Ministerial Association, coerced the young boy to take pictures of himself engaging in sexually explicit conduct and send them to his cellphone, authorities say.

Apparently police’s 10-month investigation into the the pastor revealed between August 2014 and May 2015, the pastor was involved in these acts.

Although these allegations that some call “sickening” are out, some church members including church choir members are still standing by their pastor saying they have “faith” in him.

Meanwhile, pastor Demarcus Smith has been indicted on child pornography possession charges and is being held in prison without bond.

Smith is facing at least 10 years in prison on a charge of coercion and solicitation of a minor and another 15 years minimum on a charge of production of child pornography and another 20 years minimum sentence on receipt of child pornography totaling at least 45 years plus $250,000 in fines per conviction, if convicted.
