A Memphis man who was charged last year, 2013, with punching a woman and running over another woman with his car, is back in jail ironically for driving again on a suspended license.

Odies Walker, 36, just a little under a year ago, was arrested after having an argument with his child’s mother at her place of employment, which led to Walker assaulting her as well as one of her fellow co-workers.

It happened near the University of Memphis area at the 800-block of South Highland – Walker assaulted his child’s mother punching her in the face leaving her with a bloody nose.

Walker then got in his car when a fellow co-worker of his child’s mother tried to get close enough to catch his license plate; Walker ran his car into the co-worker knocking her to the ground.

Attempting to flee the scene, Walker lost control of his car and ran into a local business (Best Sound at Highland and Park Ave).

Now, according to police documents, Walker was arrested earlier today (January 10, 2014) for driving on a suspended license apparently with a child in the car who wasn’t wearing a restraint.

Walker has been charged with two counts of driving with a suspended license, violation of financial law and violation of child restraint law for a child under 4 years of age.

Odies Walker is due in court on January 13, 2014.
