Memphis Man Gets Death Sentence For Triple Murder of Girlfriend And Her Parents

A Memphis man, Sedrick Clayton, that was convicted of first degree murder after killing his girlfriend and her parents has been given the death penalty.

Sedrick Clayton, 31, admitted to shooting his girlfriend Pashea Fisher, 23, and her parents Arithio and Patricia Fisher at the Fisher’s home on January 12, 2012, after an argument between the couple.

The argument between the couple involved Pashea Fisher possibly cheating in the relationship, according to reports.

At some point in the argument, Pashea Fisher’s parents got involved and that’s when Sedrick later shot her parents in their bedroom as Pashea was begging him not to.

After shooting her parents, Clayton turned around and shot Pashea Fisher in the head at close range not long after she made a frantic 911 call which audio was heard by the jury.

Sedrick Clayton and Pashea Fisher’s 4 year-old daughter, Joydin, was reportedly at the home during the time of the triple murder and was riding along with Sedrick as he left the home and turned himself in to police.

Ironically, Joydin, now 6 years-old, was called as a key witness in the trial and said that her father shot her grandparents and mother.

Clayton offered to plead guilty in return for 3 consecutive life sentences but the plea bargain was rejected by Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich.

Now, a 12 person jury, after hearing the case, decided to hand down the death penalty to Clayton for the murders.
