Memphis Grandmother Charged With Calling 911 For Assistance Getting A Beer

A grandmother in Memphis, TN was arrested after she had an argument with her granddaughter that wouldn’t buy her a beer.

Rosie Pate called 911 around 9PM saying that her granddaughter refused getting her a beer and they got into a fight about it.

All that would not be strange or illegal until Pat allegedly asked the 911 operator to help bring her a beer, according to police.

Rosie Pate denies the allegations that the police are claiming.

“I wouldn’t dare dial 911 to tell police to bring me a beer,” Pate tells WREG.

According to police, the 68 year-old Pate allegedly slapped her granddaughter over the argument they had over beer.

Pate was charged on domestic assault charges along with making a non-emergency 911 call.
