Memphis Daycare Owner Charged With Child Abuse For Spanking 3 Yr Old Girl

A Memphis daycare owner has been charged with child abuse and neglect.

Kendra Holmes, owner of the Neighborhood Learning Academy, spanked a 3 year-old student because she wouldn’t do her homework.

Holmes told officials that she tapped the 3 year-old on her backside three times. Paul Robinson, who is representing the mother and daughter in a pending civil suit, is calling the claim of abuse legitimacy.

The mother of the 3 year old called the sheriff’s office when she saw that her child had reddish blue marks on her legs.

Holmes has currently been released on bond.
