Man kills his Wife in Shooting outside Memphis Daycare, Then Kills Himself

A Memphis woman and mother of two was shot and killed outside a Memphis daycare center in a shooting that occurred on Tuesday.

The man accused of killing her was none other than her own husband and father of at least one of her children.

Tasha Thomas, believed to be in her early thirties, was pronounced dead at the Whitehaven daycare center University of Little Scholars, where she was employed, after being shot by her husband Charles Thomas.

The two were believed to have been in the midst of a divorce and Charles Thomas was already sought by police for domestic assault against Tasha Thomas.

Prior to the incident, Tasha told police that her husband showed up at her church threatening to ‘deal with her,’ back on August 23rd.

Following the shooting of Tasha, Charles apparently ran back to his home where he barricaded himself with boards on the windows and called a pastor, the police and a couple of friends before taking his own life by shooting himself on the porch of his home.

Charles Thomas had a reported history of domestic abuse dating back to 2009.
