Lil’ Wayne Sued For 1 Million After 2006 Concert Incident

The rapper is being accused of causing injury to the fan who was allegedly knocked down and trampled on after Lil Wayne and his entourage threw a wad of money into the crowd.

Tyrique Layne, of Fort Washington, MD filed a $1 million lawsuit Tuesday, August 28, 2007, against Lil Wayne (Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) claiming she was injured at a concert along with two other women on last October at Morgan State University in Baltimore. The rapper is being accused of causing injury to the fan who was allegedly knocked down and trampled on after Lil Wayne and his entourage threw a wad of money into the crowd.

The young woman reportedly stated she spent a night at a hospital and still suffers severe headaches, neck and back pain, memory loss, fatigue and other symptoms.

In the lawsuit she lists Carter, Universal Records, Cash Money Records and Young Money Touring.

Originally, the authorities were looking to charge the rapper after it sparked a small riot, but officials at the University decided to ban him from the campus permanently.
