Lil’ Wayne Indicted, Pleads Not Guilty To Drug Charges

Cash Money Records’ rapper Lil Wayne, 25, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has been indicted on drugs and weapons charges.

Cash Money Records’ rapper Lil Wayne, 25, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has been indicted on drugs and weapons charges.

As previously reported on Memphisrap.com, the rapper was arrested for being in possession of ecstasy, marijuana, cocaine and handguns which were all found on his tour bus. One of the guns found was a .40-caliber pistol registered to Wayne who has a concealed weapons permit in Florida.

Wayne’s tour bus was stopped at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint near Dateland, Arizona when a dog alerted Border Patrol. The bus contained nearly 4 ounces of marijuana, more than 1 ounce of cocaine, 41 grams of ecstasy, drug paraphernalia, $22,000 in cash and weapons.

Wayne has plead not guilty to the charges and is due back in court March 7 for a status hearing and according to the rapper’s attorney, James Tilson, his U.S. tour will not be affected.
