Rapper Lil Boosie is finally set to be released from prison this February after serving time in jail since 2009.
Lil Boosie was convicted in 2009 on parole violation and a third strike marijuana charge.
The rapper would have possibly been out earlier but reportedly was caught trying to smuggle drugs into the prison extending his stay.
Initially reports had Lil Boosie set to be released later this year in August, but reportedly good behavior has garnered the rapper early release.
Confirming the reports, a tweet appeared on Lil Boosie’s profile with the hashtag #countdown and now news of the rapper having written hundreds of songs while in jail has came along with a confirmation from his publicist.
Boosie stated he thinks fans are “waiting for his return to the game,” which was communicated by his publicist Chew Davis. Boosie’s announcement has confirmed that the rapper will be set to record new music upon his release.
Lil Boosie is set to be released from prison February 13, 2014 right before Valentine’s Day.
