The sexy, sultry singer and Love & Hip Hop reality television star K. Michelle, on the heels of a new R&B music album Rebellious Soul, performed a free show in Memphis on last week and also picked up the Mayor’s Ambassador Award from Mayor AC Wharton during her return to her hometown in Memphis, TN.
K. Michelle performed songs from Rebellious Soul at Memphis’ Minglewood Hall on last Friday at a free concert performance for all ages.
The same day, the hard working K. Michelle was presented with the Mayor’s Ambassador Award for her music and community service.
Mayor AC Wharton presented K. Michelle the award at the Memphis City Hall.
The Memphis native who recently just came off the finale of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and recently joined the New York cast of Love and Hip Hop New York, was proud and honored, to say the least, by the presentation stating:
“This is an honor. I absolutely love my city. I want to thank everyone. It’s been a struggle and a fight, but I’m just getting started in this business. You have to fight if you want to be a musician. If this is what you want to do, you can never give up on it.”
K. Michelle’s hard work is also paying off for Rebellious Soul, which landed on Billboard 200 at #2 selling 75,000 copies its first week.
