Joan Rivers Dead at 81, Dies After Taken Off Life Support

The 81 year-old star actress and comedian Joan Rivers has been pronounced dead after her daughter had to make the heartbreaking decision to take her mother off life support.

Health officials are looking into what happened with Rivers after the star became unresponsive in a medical procedure on her throat.

The NY state health department is investigating what may have happened after she left the intensive care unit and was placed in a private room at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Melissa Rivers, her daughter, stayed with her mother throughout the ordeal and of course, throughout her hospitalization with high hopes and faith for her mother.

The famed Fashion Police talk show host, comedian and actress will be long remembered.
