Hip Hop Sales Charts Week Ending 9/17

Kanye is #1, 50 is #2, & Fergie is hanging on.

After all the dust settled, Kanye West’s GRADUATION pulled out the #1 spot with 957,000 records sold according to SoundScan numbers, while 50 Cent’s CURTIS pulled in 691,000 buyers.

Fergie, of Black Eyed Peas fame, has been on the charts for a whopping 52 weeks in a row. She is looking Glamorous with her current total of 2.67 million sold.

Some notable Southern Artists on the charts this week are T.I., UGK, and Yung Joc. ATL representer, T.I. is certified platinum with his latest opus. Meanwhile, Yung Joc has mustered up just 114,000 sales in 3 weeks, and UGK is sitting on 316,000 to date.
