Iggy Azalea has taken home her first award ever and it was all thanks to the 2014 American Music Awards that she beat out Drake and Eminem for not one but two big hip hop awards.
Iggy Azalea took home “The Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album” award for her debut album “The New Classic.”
Iggy also took home the award for “Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist”.
Iggy beat out Drake’s “Nothing But The Same” album and Eminem’s “Marshall Mathers LP 2.”
The Grand Hustle and T.I. protege brought up her mentor as she accepted the award from Jamie Foxx.
Following her win, fans took to Twitter with mixed reactions with some congratulating while others felt the award should have went to one of the others, Drake or Eminem.
