Peewee Longway, an artist on the Gucci Mane founded label 1017 Brick Squad Records, was arrested on Sunday on drug charges.
Longway was arrested apparently on the way to a music performance at a nightclub called Club Luxe aka the Luxe Bar and Grill in Montgomery, Alabama.
According to a Club Luxe rep, they received a call just before the rapper was set to perform an after-midnight show saying that they were not going to likely make it to the show after being pulled over by police, reports XXL Mag.
Apparently, the rapper’s entire crew went to jail, and the source that spoke with the magazine is speculating the arrest might have been a set-up.
The rapper tweeted about his upcoming performance the night of the show.
