George Zimmerman Caught on VIDEO Speeding, Still Packing Gun; Trayvon Law in Works?

George Zimmerman pulled over for speeding in Texas

George Zimmerman, who was acquitted by a Florida jury on last month in the shooting death of 17 year-old Trayvon Martin, was recently stopped for speeding cross country.

Zimmerman, 29, was stopped by a highway patrol officer for speeding down Highway 80 in Texas, which a dash cam caught on video.

In the video, as the officer approached the driver’s window of his truck, Zimmerman alerted the officer that he had a gun.

Evidently Zimmerman opened the glove compartment because the officer can be heard telling him to take it easy, shut the glove compartment and don’t collect his firearm.

When the officer questioned Zimmerman where he was headed, Zimmerman told the officer “no where in particular.”

Seems George Zimmerman tried to pull the popularity card by asking the officer did he recognize the name on his driver’s license to hint at he was the person from the controversial Trayvon Martin trial.

In the end, the officer let Zimmerman off with a warning since he had no outstanding warrants.

While George Zimmerman rides cross country due to threats and possible retaliation after being acquitted, the NAACP is hoping to change the law by getting a new bill passed called the “Trayvon’s Law.”

The Trayvon’s Law is stated to be a set of bills which is hoping to end racial profiling, repeal stand your ground laws, amongst other things.

According to NAACP Florida State Conference President Adora Obi Nweze, they will not rest until the Trayvon’s Law is fully implemented in their state, which could lead to other states.
